Cooperative Purchasing

Cooperative Procurement is a term that refers to the combining of requirements of two or more public procurement entities to leverage the benefits of volume purchases, delivery and supply chain advantages, best practices, and the reduction of administrative time and expenses.

Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) is a cooperative purchasing agency established by the State of Minnesota. All of Sourcewell's employees are government employees, which increases the effectiveness of member recruitment. They are a public agency with the best interest of all public agencies at heart.

Sourcewell’s cooperative contract purchasing leverages the national purchasing power of more than 50,000 member agencies while also streamlining the required purchasing process.
